i posted this early on this thread..... sorry for dup

a brief update regarding the Spektrum radio modules and tranceivers.

there was a problem that was found just before cleveland, actually while testing in toledo. this problem has been corrected and the units have gone through more race testing at a regional level. some further improvements have been incorporated into these units and more testing done. they have been released to production as i understand satisfied with the testing just recently.

i believe there are none of the quote new production units available just yet. all the units used for testing are in the process of being updated or upgraded however you want to look at it.

FCC - these units had to have FCC approval before they could have been used in florida worlds competition. which was done.

as far as ROAR preveting them or making them go away - i'd find that hard to believe

i for one am looking forward to getting my Spektrum equiptment back. after somewhat getting used to it and returning to crystals . . . pins . . etc

hope this information is useful

Yes. All Trinity Factory drivers ran the C2 19 turn motor..most even came off the store shelf!!! Several Factory teams tried the new F-Brush at one point or another as well as other brushes. Thats what goes on at top national events..gotta have that edge!! The other hot brushes were hurricane gold brushes and the "new" Trinity Silver brush.

I'm guessing that the Reedy 19t QM was the 19t motor of choice... anyone know?
I used a Paradigm(Trinity C2) motor w/Hurricane gold brushes....Sonic Fast!

P-Dub - thanks for taking the time to show me the car and give me a heads up on the "must haves." I'm really interested in the Mi2. Thanks again, and it was nice to meet you.

Dennis - Ralph was indeed running prototype parts. Here's a pic (although, technically, this is Mike Dumas' car.) You'll notice the diffs that can adjust their height within the bulkheads, longer bulkheads, and a shorter top deck.
