Talking Stupid Airtronics reciever question

Well I've decided that my latest glitching problem is the result of dirt inside my reciever. My question: how do I open the thing up to clean it out? yeah thats about it...

YOu can take an x-acto knife or flathead screwdriver and carefully take off the casing then spray some AIR or brush the dirt off.

Well thanks but i had figured that much. I was asking how you physically take the case apart. I've tried just prying it but I cant get the knife far enough in to get any leverage. And I've tried pushing in on the little snap things at each end but they dont seem to move at all. Am I doing something wrong?

it doesent open up enough to get any room to actully pry it off, not to metion thats its not the right way to do it and you will probley end up breaking it, i know i have to push all 4 of the tabs down at once and lift it up but i can't get to that point?

It will be difficult but possible. I have done it several times.
Work slowly with a watch screw driver on every tab. Don't try to push the tab, insert the screw driver between the two cases and rise just enough to free the tab. Then work on the other on the very same place. I prefer to start on the servo leads side.
Good luck.

like gearless said it will be difficult but possibe I did 3 of mine last weekend just be careful airtronics plastic is differnt from novaks and doesn't seem to be as plyable. I was having a small glitch and that seemed to take care of it by cleaning one of them out goodluck.

Did you remove the crystal before you opened the case? I know this is a silly question, but you have to be careful when removing the crystals, any rough handling will damage them. Also be careful when reinstalling them too. Also check to see if the antenna is damaged or disconnected.
