Steve,

I've been thinking about testing out 1S mod sedan to see how it feels, and need to get my head around this whole idea of a voltage booster. Do you think I'd be able to use Novak's booster in this application to power my electronics?

I don't see a problem with you being able to use the Smart Boost... I think it should work fine!

Steve,

I'm having thermal issue with my 2 weeks old Havok Pro, like stated in other post, the thermal cut-off cut below 140

I think in the past we could cut the blue sensor wire or something like that. Is there a quick fix other then sending it for an upgrade?

Thanks in advance

What LEDs are blinking when the shut down occurs? How long does the shut down last for?

You can try removing the blue wire from the the motor's sensor harness and insulating it with heat shrink so it doesn't short out against anything. ( I wouldn't recommend cutting it)

If that doesn't help there may be some other things at work.

Thanks Steve,

the shutdown last about 10 second. I didn't had time to get out of the driver stand and look at the lights. The esc in in a 2wd buggy and I know id doesn't overheat.

Thanks for the fast response. I'll look further at tonight race!

Skitee,

We've been running and testing the Kinetic for a while now... I can let you know that testing has gone well so far! The ESC runs cooler than the GTB did and many of the new features/adjustments are working the way we want them to!

We are in the process of polishing up certain aspects of some features but things look good!

Let me know how it goes with the blue wire removed! If that doesn't help there may be some other issues at play and we can delve into them then!

Steve -

With all of the banter in the VTA thread about 25.5 motors, would a 4 cell GTB be safe to use with a 2s LiPo and a 25.5 Ballistic? The big issue with the 4 cell GTB is the lack of heasink and fan, right?

You should probably be alright. Just be sure to check the temperature of the ESC and make sure it's not running hot!

Good to hear that the new ESC is working as expected, I'm in the market for a new ESC to share duties in 10.5 and mod so I'm hoping it's still going to be available soon. Like maybe the middle of January
