i'm having problems with the cluth engaging too late, first had the cluth nut at 1.5mm and was engaging at 1/2 throtle, now at 1mm it engages at almost 3/4 throtle, i'm doing something wrong? what could be the problem?

Is the clutch bell shimed right? .5mm is what it should be.

Another thing to look at is that you installed the clutch holder in correct, the round metal holder with the raised lip item #138 in your manual if you have the lip facing the fly wheel and not the clutch shoes, the car will rev and not want to ingage.

Did you double check that plate, only because I did do that, and the car preformed just like that.

make sure your clutch nut isnt loose - the one that you first screw on tight against the flywheel, if this comes loose you also rev and go no where use loctite if you didnt on it already.

The stock Kyosho spring should be fine. When I first installed my clutch I was only using around .6mm on the preload collar. After running the car for a while I tried tightening it up to 1.2mm and I like it there. This clutch is a little "stiffer" (for lack of a better word) than some and it takes a little while to get used to it. You do have to rev the car a bit to get the clutch engaged but that's good... it hits like a hammer! Set it up stock and give it a try and I mean a few tanks worth of a try.

Keep us posted on your results.

everything is installed like the manual says, i loosened the cluth nut a little bit and it engages like at 1/3 throtle but looks like it is slips, disengages and with a little more throtle engages back again.
