rcnewb2004- the vsf-1pro comes with the ultimate shotki and large cap. This is the same ESC that is sold & rebadged by Tamiya, Yokomo and Hara Racing and now Corally. So the interface should be the same as the KO branded ESC.

Default newbie Question

I have the vfs software and have loaded the Hara profile into the program,

if I used the all frequency slider and move it down so the collective frequencies go from 3.6 KHz to say 4.6 KHz

what am I giving my self on the track (more top speed less bottom end) ? or other way round ?

Since the VFS goes from 0.9khz to 12khz and you are playing in the 3-4 khz end, I would think u get more bottom end. It should be for a stock or something that needs a lot of punch type of track.

I finally got my hara 2.1! and damn its good. Wish it came with a ultimate schotki double, but asides from that... Wow... I am running a 19T with the hara profile that came with it, and it already blasts like crazy. Can't wait to get my ics so i can tinker with other things. Btw, anyone got a good 19T program ?

I'm about to buy the Hara VFS 2.1.

Just wonder if it is neceassy to buy the Module with it? As I was told that the Hara profile is already perfectly set for 7-10 turn modified touring, hence it is not necessary to play with the profile or it will make things worst.

Is it true? If so, I'll have more budget for more matched pack batteres.

Thanks.

find yourself a new 'bestest bestest mate' who has an adapter, and have a play with that.

I suppose theres nothing wrong with using 1 setup if thats ideal to your needs, but its still nice to be able to put a comm killing setup onto the ESC when you really need to go balls to the wall!

You can also buy an adapter later on if you feel your missing out on something, save the money, buy some uber cells and re-evaluate later on

VFS-1 Pro = VFS-1 J = Twister 2.0 = Masami = Rayspeed = Volac = Corraly
VFS-1 Pro Competition = Twister 2.1
VFS-2 = has less FETs inside to bring the cost down = VFS-2000 = VFS-2000J

That's according to KO Staff Member.

Anyone mind reposting their profile?

But if you are not nice, i will check back 7-10 pages. hehe

Thanks everyone for your help.

I currently run the setup below which I helped Goop with.
I would Recommend running this profile only if you have some good Gp3300 Packs with some runtime say 420. You can also adjust the Current limiter value which will give you more rip out of your motor(the higher the value the more current which is applied to the motor), the key thing to look at is the temp of the motor in addition to the brush life.

Current limiter: 160
Neutral brake: OFF
Throttle response: OFF
Power save voltage: 2.5 BEC
Frequency of brake: 32

5 <--- starting point for throttle curve

17 <--- throttle fully pressed

There is Nine stages (off and 1-9) that can be set, One becoming the most Aggressive, and 9 becoming the mildest. Please test and look at the conditions of the track because the effect will differ. This may also be effective when combined with the throttle punch funtion of the transmitter when the track conditions are slippery and the motor is too aggressive.

As to what profile to run, I would Recommend running the Hara Worlds Profile for Touring car which can be found under the US Ko Propo Web Site http://www.kopropo.com/vfs_help.htm. Also I would recommend running the Ko Propo VFS-1 Pro Double Shotki Diode Part#KO45516 if you plan on running MOD.

I will also be attending the Sizzzzlllaaaaa, so If you still have questions or any concerns please dont hesitateto ask.

Best Regards

Alex C

enjoy. i think this was from page 36

yes. as long as you have your gearing straight and have somewhat decent batteries. you should make run time. anyone running 3600 and up will be okay with this profile. this is pretty aggressive and will probably require more motor maintenance than any other profile. also.. this is one recommended as a baseline set up and depending on your track layout. you might need to modify this profile to suit your needs.
