Default What Breaks??

Hey,

Im doing some research on what parts break on what cars.
Im helping to set up a new shop in my area and we want to stock spares (obviously) but for now we want to know what parts on what cars break the most.

Example - Yokomo SD wishbones?

that type of thing. All input will be much appreciated!

thanks in advance and please dont be scared to name the parts on your car that break, im not out to judge a car by how much it breaks (i own an SD )

thanks

All cars.... arms .shock towers, cvd's(dog bones) hub carriers.(front/rear ) some just strip out, diff gears ,drive shafts(bend) , belts ( strech/break ) steering componets ,wheel hex's if plastic is used . and some people even break chassis's.... I might if forgot some things but i'm sure youll find out more ,,,
just my 2 cents....hope this helps... also you want to get some hop-ups for most depending on the demand and the cars in question..onroad or offroad ..if your looking to support both ...

i agree with mb racer, if your selling cars/kits you need to have the back up of spares so really you need to cover all the parts on the cars, so it gets expensive setting up

but things like arms, hubs, hinge pins, shock towers, etc....

good luck

I agree with MB.. It also depends on how severe the impact will be or to where your car might slam..

Well I'd prefer to know about the weak points of individual cars.

Most cars have parts that break more than others for one reason or another.

If somebody could name their car and then tell me which parts have broken for them since they have owned it that would be a massive help!

thanks so far

Exclamation

I got FT TC3 for almost 2 1/2 years. I already replace it hinge pin, front lower suspension assembly, rear shock tower, right rear hubs, right rear suspension arms.. The reason is that I just run my car in the car park and on the road with lots of rocks to slam with..

Sleighty: All cars have the same weak point. The suspension. Go to hard into any barrier and something in the front or rear suspension is going to go. I am not sure that it is worth the time to figure out because whatever does not break surely wears out. If your starting out, I would say all front and rear suspension parts and then in general belts, shafts and internal tranny bits like gears and balls. Anything else you will be able to figure out depending on the most popular cars that are running and what tuning option of the day people want.

You can be practical about it, but there is no science

It is not the suspension's fault, its just always in the wrong place at your wrong time.
