KO race should be fun. We've had a great streak at GLARCRC races this year (3 wins, a second, and a third) so we'll have to keep up the results with the RS.

Car is almost complete. Will post more tomorrow in my blog.
Need to find the right or at least a suitable (PICCO) manifold and pipe for the VOX motor.

It looks rather like you are one of the first ones to get the kit :-)

I would start with the Picco 2033 inline pipe kit.
This works usually great on all Picco based engines.

John, nice blog. Tell me, on your car, what is not standard, with the kit? The aluminium uprights and receiver box does not look standard, am I right?

I don't see any aluminium uprights on his car.

Options used are:

1. Receiver box from Reckward Tuning. It's made for Mugen cars and I have modified it to fit my car and then scrubed of the grey color and polished.
2. Titanium ball ends in all wheel hubs
3. Titanium screws
4. 'Blade' rear arnti roll bar - this will be changed to stock as I don't see anyone anywhere using the blade system anymore.
5. Titanium middle shaft
6. Aluminum front body posts
7. Some ceramic bearings in key areas
8. Silver color aluminum top shock caps (kit has orange ones although I ordered the "grey chassis" edition Part#00115)
I strongly recomend not to change to the silver ones as the new orange ones have an improved design and the blader inside sits better and the shock operates smoother.

The rest is box stock, so what you see in the photos is more or less what you get.
The options I installed really don't make much of a difference in performance.

Very cool blog, I was really hoping for an improved shock cap.

We will have hollow stainless steel 2 speed shafts, hollow aluminum midshafts, titanium hinge pins, lite-weight stainless steel rear center spool all in the next few weeks.

I will post some pics as each of these items are completed.

Hey YBSLOW,
earlier you had mentioned that you are selling parts to put front CVD's for the P81 together.
I've been searching you site, but wasn't able to find anything.
Could you point me in the right direction please?

Hi stefan,

I use my liteweight stainless steel axles with Mugen bones, joint that connects bones to axle , and Mugen front 1 way drivers because the Mugen ball end is about .007 bigger that the Moto ones. My axles are listed in the Mugen sub category on my website.

Hope this helps.

very nice kit and set up! Quick question about that Reckward aluminum box? Any chance you know if it might be compatible with a Evolva M3?

Thanks.
Sorry, no idea if it fits. Better ask in the Evolva thread. Someone might have tried it.

Any chance on getting some photos of how the radio plate mounts to chassis in the rear and the hardware used on front to allow it to flex?

It is very curious design.

Great photos on the blog!!
