Default hyper .21 motor

i am having problems with my truck (Ofna Pirate) and im having problems keeping a decent fuel flow into the carb. the carb is exactly like whats in the T-maxx and each time i have to prime the pump, the truck runs for like 5 seconds, starves for fuel and dies. i reliazed that the exhaust is connected to the motor via a wraparound spring. can anyone tell me what is wrong with the my motor or could it be the exhast?

Turn your radio on then your truck. (dont need to start it) Take your air filter off and check the gap of your carb the gap should be about the size of this letter: c in width. Put your brakes on and see if the gap closes. If the gap closes then loosen your throttle/brake linkages and set your idle needle to the correct gap then tighten the linkages back down and your problem should be solved!
