Not sure why it couldn't be a competition car. While I have no experience with a M-04, I know that people love to race them on the road courses.

I also think that drifting is more of a 4wd thing.

Anyway, it sounds like great fun and I know I'll not be able to resist trying to campaign one in our mini class. I think this opens the door for Tamiya to make several new bodies of RWD cars. Being an old guy, I have a hard time getting excited about FWD bodies like the Yaris and Civic. Give me a BMW 2002 or Shelby Daytona. Heck, this could be a whole new segment of VTA if it was done right. One can only hope.

I sold my m04 and picked up the Cup Racer and run my Alfa Guilia on it. When I saw Tamiya re-releasing RWD bodies on M05, thought M04 was history.

Guess Tamiya heard us complaining about how silly FWD chassis would be with these RWD bodies and decided to release an M06!

Hopefully it will be a tuneable double deck chassis, a simple layout like an F104, with a gear box and A arms, or something similar to cup racer ...instead of a continuation of M04/M05.

That was debated extensively on TamiyaClub forum about 6 months ago. It's M05 chassis, M05RA Chassis. The 5 looks like a 6. Notice the lines that go through the centre of the font from left to right! It's covering / blurrying the notch in the #5

M chassis beauty to me were the scale bodies.. RWD bodies on RWD chassis and FWD bodies on FWD chassis.
