SSShhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....

But seriousely-you are right!! There is much more to life than toy cars. But competition makes a man do strange things!!

Heres a short list from the last 18 mnths or so.

FTTC3-like 5 or 6 of them. A couple brand new kits, but most bought used here and there. always fast-always a bit unpredictable.
Tamiya EvoIII-no rip on carpet for some reason. Like driving a caddy on carpet w/ foam tires-even with a front one-way. Could turn 25 laps withion 0.1 with this one-too bad they were 25 slow laps....
Losi XXXS Graphite-2- of them-struggled with this-gave up on it.
Losi XXXS G+-Revelation-belt tension was cirtical as was rollout. This was a yellow belt car.
Xray T1 with PB-no thanks.
XRay T1R-not too shabby-too flexible on high bite.
XRay FOC C-hub-Close-easy to drive-fast in a Team drivers hands-not mine.
Xray FOC SHort arms-whoa-now were getting somewhere!!
Xray FOC Short arm Warpspeeed chassis-even better
Warpspeed Demon1 Tc3 conversion-FAST and SO easy to drive! LOved it. ONe of my favorite cars of all time.
Waprspeed D2-horrible on carpet w/ foam tires. Got into the corner and just stopped!! OK in low bite- A slug in high bite.
BMI eTC3-NOw were talking!! Fast-aggressive and consistent-what a TC3 should be like-but still a TC3 with all of its bent hingepins, mis aligned toe blocks, steering rack from hell and wearing out arms, etc. long before anything breaks. Warpspeed racing diff cases-gotta have-em.
BMI Xray-short arm batteries 1/8" forward. Very good-sold it before really testing it.
BMI Xray-short arm batteries 0.350" forward-this ones gnna be one of the best ever. Tremendous rip-top speed and handling thats smooth and carries corner speed. Now gettng the FK bulkheads to run mid-roll center as well as 1.5º anti-dive and antisquat!!
BMI Pro4-Heres an oddity-everything that makes a Tc3 fast-everythng that makes a Exotic so trick and adjustable-killer quality in moldings and hardware, but I couldnt get fast laps with it at the Gate-even when it felt dialed and fast!! But felt fast at other tracks.
Hmmmm...I bet I left some cars out. LIke the gas cars, the Losi MF offroad truck, the Xmod, the BRP SC18, the Hyperdrive 510......

I am an old fashion kind of guy!
I use to play that game car here car there!
I was guilty of it, like woman you want to try them all. But then one day I came across the car of my life! I first laid eyes on it 4 1/2 years ago. After taking it home and putting together I knew right away I was hooked! In love. though at the 3 1/2 year mark I got it some reconstructive surgry, life with it was getting a little dull.
So after augmentation my docile Ft car became a demon, whoo baby talk about a bad as$ car ! we been happy ever since. its a cool car because its not jealous it gives me freedom to play with the younger one the demon 2 ! I have the choice of two cars same manufacture, different handling but basically the same car.
Tit for tat I am still a whore because Ii bounce back and forth between both car depending the track!

YEAH I AM WHORE! you got a problem wit that!

and hey-I share!! I let the locals drive-em.

But I still wonder-if I could get therapy or deep hypnosis-shock therapy?? and stick with say the Xray for a full year-every week running it-Would I be a faster driver?

Confidence and knowing exactly what your cars gonna do every corner or jump is HUGE-more so in offroad maybe-but just as critical carving apex's on-road racing!!

ray you would be suprized how much better you would get if you stuck to one car atleast for 4 months there is no such thing as that majic car! they all work you just need to consentrate on one car. Be self discaplined to leave the others at home and develope one car.

I have meesing around with an Mi2 and the demon at the same time all I did was get fustrated with the Mi2 and slowed down with the demon because I was neglecting it (require maintanence)
till the point I threw the Mi2 in the garage and went to test with the demon and was pissed that it handled like shit!
blown shocks and bent hinge pin with a seized bearing will make for an ill handling car. why didnt I fix before because i was busy bouncing back and fourth between two cars! Trust me stick to 1 at least 4 months and figure it out!

Hmmm

You as a driver might not be faster, but you'd know a lot more about your car and you'd be able to get it really, really good if you just stuck with it

I'm a kinda RC Whore...not as much as some of you, though..

I've owned:

TC3
Schumacher Mission
Losi XXX-S G+
Warpspeed TC3
BMI TC3
And now BMI Xray which is my favorite of all.

Sure is!! Just send me a car kit or $300 and I'll send you a book tittled "How I kicked the RC Whore Habit in 12 steps" and a patch to put on your arm. Interestingly-the patch wont do anything for the RC addiction-but you might take up smoking now.
