To all the fello whores out their if you stay off of forums like this you become less of a whore and calm down with one car. Its like whrn your single, you go out to the bars and flirt with women and get all kinds of ideas. Then you find one and stop going to bars and clubs, for a while and you dont have those ideas anymore or at least act on them. so consider RC-Tech a Bar for all us addicted fools. Dont frequent here as much and you wont be such a whore!!
does any of this make sense??

EVO3 was designed for rubber tire racing as well as all of the other Tamiya EVO and TRF cars. I tried for almost a year to make the EVO3 go on carpet. I got it decent, but it just wouldn't get to the highest level. If you'll notice, other than a few flukes, Tamiya cars never perform well on foam tires with high traction carpet. Now get to a medium/high traction carpet with rubber tires and it's a different story...

We race rubber tires 90% of the time anyway in Nor*Cal
Crud...Gotta trade the 414 for a carpet foam car

I started in Japan back in like 96 to 98 while in the Air Force.... Left Japan and got out of RC for several years.. then a couple years ago got back in...
I started with
Tamiya TA03R
Yokomo YR4 M2 Pro
Losi StreetWeapon
Yokomo MR4TC Special
Losi XXX-S
TC3 Racer kit (2)
TC3 FT
TC3 IRS
Tamiya TRF414M2
Losi XXX-S G+
Tamiya Evo III
Yokomo SD SSG (2)
Yokomo RaySpeed Conversion
Tamiya TRF415
Yokomo CGM
(and up coming Tamiya Evo IV)
I was fastest with the TC3 (who isn't).
But the car that suits me best is the 415. It's one wicked fast and smooth car. I really loved the 414, but hated saddle packs. When I saw the new belted Tamiya car... and it had the battery on one side... I was like... "Thats the one!" That's partly the reason why I never tried the X-Ray no matter how much I wanted to... Saddle packs. Anyways, the 415 is here to stay... but I'll need a foam tire carpet car some winter time... hmmmmmm Can the Evo IV do it?

Ray-I've often wondered about you always changing chassis. You have too much time and money on your hands. Send some my way and I'll help you spend it!

Ray, about the demon d2 stoping in the corners on carpet, it wants to, but if you raise up the rear tower and leave the front down, it goes throu fast as hell and never brakes loose. Its just as fast as a loose tc3, but stable.....works great for me.
