Good day all, I'm expecting delivery of my new GTP2e today from nitrohouse.
I am gonna run a mamba monster max with 2200kv motor. Can anyone direct me to a decent steering servo for 50/50 bashing and racing. To start I will run a lower end 2.4 radio and reciever. Any help would be appreciated.

I see a lot of good stuff about Savox servos now that they are officially distributed and supported in the US. Give one of those a try.

Has anyone experimented with the RC-Monster Slipperential in their 1/8 GT? I will be using one in my conversion since it's already in the buggy. I will probably run it quite tight, just keep it for a little extra drivetrain protection.

Thanks, I'll look into the savox servos'. The specs look really nice. And the price looks even better.

You might want to take a look at one of these PPP servos.

All metal gear, double BB, 208oz of torque and 0.13 sec response, not bad for under $50 shipped.

I'm planning on trying one when I build up my IGT for Rally Car driving.

Thanks. Yes there are other conversions available Ofna sells a complete conversion also.

They also sell a motor mount that will work but I don't know the part number off hand.

I ended up breaking another front upright (other side this time) during the warm up laps for the first heat. I clipped a board again, grrrr. But that's the only thing that broke all day. Luckily I had a spare.

I have learned if you race a DM1 make sure to have spare front uprights. It may hold true for GTP cars also as they use a similar upright. What happens is the pillow ball pulls out and snaps the upright. At least they are pretty easy to replace.

Go with the Tekno conversion, they are a great company with outstanding customer service. Nitrohouse has the conversion kit available for purchase. It's a real easy and smooth process to do. Good Luck!

That sucks. How did your car handle with the conversion you made? Was the car fast enough on 4s, run time?
