Aaron

Looks like you had fun this weekend! It's always more fun when you finish well! Years ago there used to be a race on the beach at Lake Havasu called "B&R Battle on the Beach". The only bad thing was that Losi step pins weren't out yet. However, the Losi guys were the only ones who had them and they were dialed!

On another note, have you run your MF2 at Titus yet? If so, what is the dialed setup for Mod truck? Tires and foam?

Thanks!

I haven't run at Titus yet, but I'll be there for the Babcock Series race.

It didn't matter where anyone finished this past weekend..everyone had a ridiculous amount of fun!

I have just started racing electric and have primarily raced outdoor tracks with it. What setup changes do you generally make when going to an indoor surface with tight layout vs. and outdoor hard packed high traction track like HRH?

Other than tires (duh) I will shorten the camber links to make the truck pivot faster in the corner.

I don't know how you guys run with that Drake setup.....either I just wasn't familiar with the car or something....but it felt too aggressive for me.

If I just wanted to play around with the NT setup....is the XXXT and the NT relatively the same when it comes to setups or are they way different?

Becuase, if they're the same, I'll just put my XXXT setup on my NT and be dialed like none-other.

The setups are WAY different.

Drake's setup works great on "real" gas tracks because you point-and-shoot from corner to corner.

Make sure your rear ride height is arms level, as that is the biggest aspect of the setup. After that..you just have to learn how to drive it.

That would probably explain the overly aggressive feel...the track I'm on is indoor, small and really tight. By the main, I had it down pretty good.

My biggest thing was conchiouesly being aware of how hard I'm using the brake. Once I settled into a nice groove, it really seemed to come around.

I couldn't be sure, but it felt like the longer it ran, the smooter it became. Do you get that? or is it just me?

Are you talking about the brake feeling smoother? As your new parts break in the brake may have seated and started to get more consistent. I don't really notice any fade and hardly ever change my brakes.

bigl - I don't really ever run at SoCal. Adam's setup will work really well there but you may need something a little more aggressive. Try it and let me know if you need to make any changes, and I'll try to suggest a few things.

SoFast-NT - Congratulations! Everyone who went down to Mexico had a weekend they'll never forget (heck, I was dancing with the Dirt Girls! hahaha).
