Great job at the Birds guys!

Ran my CH12 today for the first time in a long time and tried out the new TRC tires. The grip with this combination of car and tire was phenominal !! I do need to pick up the thicker front flex plates though...with the ones I had when I put just a bit too much traction compound on the front the front would dig really hard and flip the car. That mainly happened when I slowed down for a turn...if I just kept the hammer down a bit more the car would just fly through the corners I'm really looking forward to testing at the other track in 3 weeks. I think we have a real chance of getting pan car running on a regular basis again

All of the new shirts are black. I will shoot some pics for you guys. They are really cool. They have crossing snake heads on the back w/ tribal backround.

Here are the setups we ran for both 13.5 and 17.5.Joe ran the stock front end as it was what he new and just started running the car a week prior to the birds. He is going to be running the new front end and learning more about and we can add front end setups for this.

17.5:
Front:
.020 BMI front springs
#3 shurlube on king pins
6 degrees caster
5 degree blocks
1 degree camber
BSR Black front tires cut to 1.620
3mm ride height

Rear:
Gold center spring w/ 45 wt. oil
Medium ballstud on shock mount
#3 shurlube in the tubes
1.2mm flex plates soft position
.25mm pod droop(almost none)
3.5mm ride height
pod sagging .5mm lower in the front of pod
BSR Gray/White rears

Car was very smooth and easy to drive. We were lacking power but the car was really great.

13.5 was pretty much the same with a few minor changes. We ran Pink fronts and Magenta rears, We had .75mm pod droop. Car was really good.

Softer fronts than rears? Or is that supposed to be Dbl. Pink?

What were the rear tires cut to on the above setup?

Well, got to run the car for the first time. I have very little onroad setup experience, so I did my best when checking stuff. I installed a 13.5 as I'm waiting for a motor to be shipped to me. When rolling on the throttle, the car went straight, when the throttle was pulled to full throttle, the car would pull to one side. The last time I drove a 1/12 was last winter and I don't recall the car pulling at all. Tried adjusting the diff, but didn't make a difference. Now that I think of it, i'll check the balance tomorrow at work.

Any help is appreciated.

You probably have the rear axle too tight. When you put on the left side hub put a piece of paper between the bearing and the spacer then tighten the hub. That will give you just a smidge of play in the rear axle which allows it so spin freely. Without that there is drag on that side of the diff which causes the car to pull to one side under acceleration.

Tires were cut to 1.670 in the rear.

As for pulling to one side, Make sure the clamp hub on the axle has the shorter boss facing the bearing and the longer boss in the wheel. If not, the axle is off center and the car will pull to one side. Hope this helps.

Yep, rear hub was on backwards.

I put the car on the ground and rolled it back and forth a few times and noticed it would work it's way over to the left, even after flipping the rear hub.

Everything is tight, there is no play in anything other than the right rear height adjuster/insert thingamajingy feels like it's got about .005 of up/down play in it.

You want some play in the rear axle hence using the piece of paper to space it. Both of the bearings that support the rear axle are on the same side of the diff...so if the axle is tight it will cause drag on that side of the diff.

If you get the axle centered properly and there is no drag on the bearings from the axle pinching them, if your steering trim is set, the car will track straight. Let me know if it works out buddy.
