so going with the alchohol is better?

I couldnt say either way to be honest.

Only way i could see it being better is that the belts would come out clean, not needing further work... plus id imagine its quite a bit cheaper than wd40

So there about the same, but WD 40 gets dirty.

I think Cyrul did the following trick to free up the drivetrain: cut off every other tooth in the belt.

Haven't tried it, though I'd say you'd want a belt tensioner to avoid skipping.

the drive train is free enough, why cut the belt or pulleys?

you can never be too free as long as the belt doesnt skip. and since it doesnt, ( i only run stock) might as well

I had the belt flip on me before, and skip when the belt was too loose.

He only did this to the front pulley since he only ran the car in mod.

really? in a crash or sumthing? oh yea, i only did this to the front big pulley too, where not too much force is req'd. and i dont brake very often either.
i didnt cut the belt teeth because the smaller pulley isnt quite big enough for me to trust just a few teeth to hold it well.

Nope, no crash, just giving the car some throttle actually in my hand and it just flipped.

I dont brake in stock at my track.

I didnt really get to play around with the setup. It happened at a bad time since it was the end of the season and i was getting really busy. I got to run it twice for about 2 hours and it seemed pretty nice, but not planted yet, that was probably me because i havent driven TC since Dec. over the summer i plan on playing around with setups

really? either that was a REALLY loose belt or you had some weird tension running on it. i mean, a belt running off a pulley or skipping teeth is considerable but there is no pull in a "flipping" direction.
