Default 5000 - 40C or 5400 - 25C?

i need a larger battery for my corally phi. i am currently using the orion 3800 30c pack and it just fits under my top deck. i need to get a larger battery and a lipo tray to go with it, so a guy at my track is offering me these two choices. what he mentioned is that even though the 5400mah pack has a lower C rating, it holds the voltage longer since it has a higher mah rating. is this true?

right now, i run a 10.5 on a fairly large track and within the last lap or so i dump. i already geared down to get about an extra 30 seconds, should i lower my low voltage cut off?

(i am running a tekin RS)

edit:

just remembered orion is coming out with a 5000mah 40c and 5400mah 40 pack...any idea how those are going to be?

Keep in mind that the Thunder Power 5000 40C is actually about 5390mAh.

Either of those packs will good. Some new wisdom coming out is that higher capacity along with lower C rating gives better performance over a race. Go for either in Thunderpower or Fantom for best results.

That is true. However, of the two packs I would probably go with the 40c for 10.5. You should not be using anywhere close to 5,000mAh during a 6 minute run, honestly.
