Alu shock bodies only looks fancy on T3, but there is a reason why Xray design and used composite shocks body... flexation of impact absorbent, I think!

The Xray Aluminum shock bodies are very ball'n indeed. They are smoother and more consistant then the plastic ones. The dont leak just sitting on your pit table and you dont have to constantly rebuild them. They are however, harder to adjust rebound. One other item of caution, the diameters of the shock bodies differ, so take that into consideration when copying set-ups. The viscosity, pack, and rebound will all feel different.

A RCAmerica driver admits the aluminums are better

What is their difference in internal diameter?

I'm not saying one is better then the other, I guess it just depends on what you are looking for.

I personally like them a lot.

I think I have all the parts I should need to do any track side tweaking on my new T3R. First race and first run with her is this Sun. on a medium size medium/high traction carpet track (fairly well worn and a little bumpy) running 17.5 sportsman, Jaco Blue tires, have already added the center post behind the servo saver. Other than that the car is setup per the rubber tire setup sheet that came in the instructions. Was just looking for any other changes I may need to consider before hitting the track, and hopefully not the boards!
Thanks, GeorgeC

hey mike, keep in mind that its rare for something to be better in all dimensions, cost, performance, weight etc. The second oring adds service life at the expense of friction

Honestly I don't enjoy building shocks. I like building diffs more than I like building shocks. That rug race in seatle with the bumpy track I was rebuilding 2x / day (dirty and bumpy)

I didn't have a car for the gp and I am at midterm time so I am in the books (should be studying for Biology exam right now)

Hi guys,
What parts are compatible from the 009 to the T3? I'm getting my hands on a T3 just want to know what spares I can hang on to. Tried to search but to many results lol.
