The Xceed Audi A5 body is currently available in Europe and is suppose to be available in the US in the next few weeks. It is suppose to be distributed through Serpent America in the states.

Is the Xceed and the Orcan Audi the same body? The pics on Redrc look different.

The Audi body looks real nice!
Good to hear that it is a real turner!
I'll be keeping an eye out for this one!

One of the RC News website, RC Special, was questioning if this Xceed body was indeed used by the 10 finalists... It mentioned that this was the body they used:

Same car... different body... The Xceed one looks by far more aerodynamic...

Look at the car body Wischnewski is holding in his hand ... This is an Xceed A5 and not near the Orcan body that is shown in the upper picture!?

If I see correctly!

Again Same bodyshell only different stages in the design. I guess they liked the paint on the grey shell better for the publicity photo...

The one wischnewski is holding is the final design as is sold by Xceed and SMI/Orcan.
My guess is SMI decided it was easier to let xceed do the international selling through their existing dealers.

Julius is right, there is no difference between the Audi A5 of Xceed and Orcan. The picture of the Audi which Dirk Wischnewski holds in his hands is the latest version. Selling startet shortly before the German Nats by Orcan.

The body is produced by experienced German body maker TRT/SLB (does lots of bodies for Serpent, FG etc.) will be distributed by Orcan/SMI, Xceed and maybe others.

See the interesting comment from Protoform designer Dale Epp after this story? He doesn't sound happy.
