I just picked up a second hand car and the tank looks like it has had a little bit of fuel let sit in it for a while and looks like it's all gummed up. What can i use to clean the inside of the tank out and the internal stone filter?

Any help would be great

Use some brakecleaner.

But be carefull, if you have a rubber O-ring as closure in the lid, it can get damaged (disformed) by brake cleaner.

pour in nitro fuel for 2 hours, shakes it, and discharge the fuel

Thanks fellas. I've heard somewhere that you can put an air hose in the fuel line to blow gunk out of the stone filter, is this recomended?

dude use metho. fill tank up to about 1/4 or 1/3, then put a new peice of fuel tube into the fuel line, then blow through the stone filter. You can also spray through some metho through the fuel line to initially wet the internals of the fuel line.

I use a compressor to clean my car in and out. Maybe you could try this but i don't know if it will work. Sorry

you may shoot it out LOL your eye
at 3 a pop just replace every gallon.
tank gunk avoidence=you can get 99% of it out the rest can still draw moister which is very bad for motors.I give a 1 sec squirt of wd40 afterwards
