This may be a stupid question, (and I was born in the east) but do you guys, and gal's, store your cells and batteries between races outside? It maybey a week or4 weeks between races. How about motors, is the cold (45) bad for the magnets? If I lived back in Ohio, I'd have a room dedicated to R/C!!!!

I personnally keep them indoors and in the warm because that is how I like it when I work on the car.

As long as you keep them in a dry place your cells will be OK, I have seen the ends on cells rust........ Just don't store them inside the oven or on top of the fireplace...

Cold like exterme heat is bad for electronics. It does harm to the chemicals inside the packs. And it can harm motors by destroying the epoxy on the armature and holding the magnets in place, from the extreme expansion and contraction. Cold also isnt good for plastic. This is a real problem up here in Wisconsin.

i live in PA, and after my dad left out one of those palm pilots and the liquid crystal froze and broke the screen, i try to keep my stuff inside. i was afraid my chargers' screens would crack too, so i play it safe and keep my stuff inside.

Yeah, from what I've learned cold ruins the battery cells and the epoxy in motors.

Hey guys, Thanks for your replys. Most of the replys have been from people in colder climates. I DEFINATELY would not keep all my pride and joy outside. I was hoping to hear from other So Cal racers and thier temp limits.
