If so are you using the TA05 geardiff or the 417/416 geardiff??
SpecR's "TA05" geardiff is for v2 as its got a 37T pulley

v1 is 36T

mine works well, needs a bit of work to get it that way though.
Sand smooth the backs of bevel gears, make sure case gasket is seated
and i greenslimed the outdrive x-seals.

wait for the tamiya gear diff for the ta05 v2. part #tam 54312. it does not leak from what thay are saying on the jap fourms and is very smooth with no modding needed.Tamiya quality should be in the states in 2 to 3 weeks.
ebay intl in about a week.

Questions??

So what's up with these gear diffs? I've never even heard of them until a couple days ago on this forum thread. What are the differences and what do they do?

How's the balance on the Exotek? I took my TA05V2 out in a slomo VTA Class over the weekend, through twisty parts of the track the chassis just felt off, different characteristics btwn left and right turns (Chassis Flex, Weight distribution etc)

If it's noticable in a VTA Class, it's got the potential to be maddening in 17.5!

Does anyone know the part number for BB27? This is in the options section of the manual for the stabalizer set. - (2) For front stabalizer

Just realized the connector ends that came with the stabalizer set are not the right sizes..

I also need to order more BB22's part number 50875 (6) Front/Rear stabalizers. And more to finish switching over to titanium turnbuckles.

I thought I was done ordering parts 6 months ago!!

If that gear diff is good, I might try getting one or two of those and then larger sized universal dogbones because mine seem too short in the front.. can probably put in the rear.

Anything helps! Thanks.

Is the spec R gear diff only for the R types? Will it fit in the stock TA05VII without any modding?
Thanks

Default Which are IFS

I'm looking to buy a V2. I would prefer an IFS. Is there a best body? Or a list of which body sets are IFS?

Thanks for any help,

Jeff

I run TCS and club races. Usually run F1 and mini. Looking to run 17.5 or 21.5 GT. Just need to know which sets come with IFS since I dont see it listed on the different kits.

Hey Jeff if I think that all the TA05v.2's are IFS regardless of the body in the kit.

Thanks,

Do you think its worth getting the v2r or is the normal v2 a better deal?
