Hey Guys,
unfortunately I don't have a raceway close to my place. Is there any exercise that I could do on a parking lot to train my driving skill? Just driving around is no fun anymore.

Sweep it or blow it off, make a simple layout with a few corners that you can mark with some duct tape or something.
Liter bottles of soda (orange soda seems to be the choice I've been seeing), poke a hole in the top and secretly spray the course, it'll dry quickly and be great traction.
Don't foget to spray the straights cuz it'll get crazy at hi speed if you don't.
The Orion lap counter is a lot of fun too if you run by yourself, like keeping score and lets you see improvements.

So i'm planning to run this car for TCS, and just the other day my 7-yr old LRP QC has quit on me.
Does the choice of esc matter much for running silver cans?
I was looking at the QC3 as I liked the QC I had, $85 was the cheapest I could find around.
Also considering the Futaba MC230 (90A) / MC330 (200A)
Any suggestions? Looking for something small so I can fit under the small side pods as well.
Thanks!

With any luck, their brushless stuff won't be worthwhile anyway and they allow ROAR approved combos for everything, no timing of course.
I picked up a couple speedos from RTR Losi Strike Short Course trucks that are for their 12 turn brushed motors and also have lipo cutoff.
They are working great in my silvercan Tamiya cars, FF03 and F103 and 104s.
Got em for $20 each brand new.
You can probably find these or other similar RTR speedos not being used for the right price if you, like me, feel that buying an expensive speedo for silly $20 silvercans is overkill.

just raced the castle classic at norcal this past weekend. there were 103 anv's, 109's, 104's, and exotek 104's. tq and fastest lap went to a exotek 104 with 103 front arms and 103 anv foams. second place car was a 103 anv followed by a exotek 104 on 104 wheels. the exotek has potential and won the race hands down. all of these guys are good drivers.

You need the Tekin FX. You don't need reverse. The Tekin Fx has a smaller footprint than the Lrp QC3. Wasn't quite happy with the performance of the QC3. Had some strange quirks.
Use to have a Novak GTX, and i liked that as well. Really reliable, but a bit bigger footprint. Workhorse of a speed controller. I don't know if it will fit in a F1. And, I don't know if you can get them anymore.
