gashuffer - I think he was referring to the pivot balls being pushed in on the lightest of taps, as opposed to actually breaking.
The only thing on the new M3 that I really don't like is where the receiver is located at. I don't think we are going to see a huge difference in suspension geometry between the 07 Evolva and the M3, just slightly different weight balance.

So in 11 years of racing I've never tried out 1/8 on-road. I'm planning on picking up an Evolva tomorrow that has been sitting on a shelf built but never run for a year or so now. Should I get the '07 update parts or just run the thing? Any other stuff I might want to pick up?

If you find them somewhere, let us know.
The Empire front swaybar mounts are a good idea as well. The stock mounts tend to flex too much, especially when it's warm out.

Kamikaze is correct - the front tensioner has two benefits with - in my opinion - the more important being the ability to hold the belt farther into contact on the 16th pulley therefore spreading the load over more belt teeth at any single moment. Same thought process applies to the side belt tensioner. I suppose calling them tensioners is really a misnomer but "but extra teeth in mesh thingie" would have made a crappy product name.

Belt problems
Hi Guys
Recently, I stripped my front belt on the Evolva.
I replaced the kit belt with the "front belt 213 - FM377".
When I try to put the car back together, this belt seems to loose to me. like VERY loose.
Then I try to change the gearing - changed the spool pulley from 24t to 25t and the drive pulley from 16t to 17t. This made things a little better BUT in my opinion, there is still too much on this belt.
Has anyone used the above belt? Am I doing something wrong here?
Any ideas please.
Thanks
Acid

My notes show the front belt as FM538B and if my notes are correct it is 207mm belt, the option is the SP belt part number FMW25
