Hello Guys,

I am from Malta and had recently bought an HPI PRO3. Lately I was using a TC3. In late night I did lap times 0.2s faster than the TC3. However, during midday where temeratures where above 30C I had some problems. The back end of the car was simply unstable round tight corners. The setting was as instructed by the manual. Then I changed lots of settings and the problem remained. Lately I tried to use the hardest springs that I could find on the front and it worked. I recon that on our track we want a rigid chassis. Infact next time out I will fit some turnbuckle for the time being to make the chassis rigid until the neew parts arrive. Do you know a better solution for my problem.

Thanks
Ray

Here's how I run my Pro 3. It works good on our track, which is a prepared asphalt track:

Front:
50wt oil
#3 piston
Blue linear springs
medium sway bar

Rear:
45wt oil
#3 piston
Blue linear springs
no sway bar

I run a front one-way diff, 1 degree negative camber all the way around, neutral front toe in, and the kit standard setting for rear toe in/anti-squat.

I run the Penguin carbon chassis right now, but this is the same setup I was using with the standard chassis and it worked pretty good there too.

Your not going to Losi, are you?

Are the diff out drives strong enough for a 11 turn mod in the pro3.

Also i am usually a stock guy but my friend talked me into mod is it a big difference?

thanks for the help.

i have another question though. i got a setup sheet off of the internet for my track and on the sheet one of the things is he changed the front piece. the piece to change the toe in it was marked 0 instead of 2. Is this aftermarket or whats the deal. the part number is its on the A 356 tree and its # 7. any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can change the front toe in with the tie rods. If it is the rear wheels, I found the car to be way too twitchy with the 0 degree rear block. I'd stick with the 2 degree ones.

OK,

anyone have a good carpet setup?

Moving indoors for the winter. I currently have a pro 3 with the Penguin chassis....

Never raced on carpet before, using rubber tires and a stock motor (P2K)...

Any help would be cool...

Looking for a carpet setup for indoor racing. Web sites or setups would be great.
