In need of a vintage Trans Am TC5 set up
Hi
If theres anyone out there that can help me with a set up for my TC5 Im gonna start running in this class ,I have never run it but it was a rubber car set up for outdoors though and not carpet .
Im not looking for the killer set up but I am going to run brushed 27 stock with 4200 matched 4 cell back set up with the 70 mustang boss body.
droop, shocks, roll outs, battery placement etc would be great .PM me or if you want to send to my email that would be so cool . [email protected]
thanks in advance to everyone out there across the river from Canada ayy

I would start with stock kit set-up(carpet) and practice with that for a couple of races to get some consistent lap times. Then make small adjustments as this class is far more focused on driving skill.
My .02 cents.

I started with this http://www.rctech.net/forum/4098507-post5181.html. Then made a few minor adjustments to suit my style better.

I run the setup for the TC5R with green springs in the rear. My car seems to hook up real well on carpet.

Car worked great for my first vinatge class race on sunday in St.Catherines at Niagara onroad at merritt lions club. The only thing the car is needing is more speed (LOL) .I had it geared 48 pitch 84 spur with a 30 pinion which gave me 5.6 final gear drive with the internal 2.0000 drive ratio.
Anyone with tips on getting more power outta my machine .I have tons of steering so no problams there.would being underweight play on carrying speed ?? because i was under by 42 grams (LOL).
Any suggestions would greatly help ...
Thanks

I need a good final gear drive ,I ran a 48 pitch 30 pinion with 84 spur which gave me a 5.6 FD ,its right in the ball park with the rules but it still seemed slow out there on the track with the brood stock motor and new 4300 nimh 4 cells world cells .any help would be great .
2.0000 x 84 divided by 30 = 5.6
