Default What's a good brush stock motor?

I'm going to run a brush setup to get started. What is the best 27t stock motor out? Any chance of it keeping up with Brushless motors out now?

Default brushed motors

Just Will,
i have raced both 12th scale brushed as well as brushless, and all i can say is that you are better off running brushless as compared to brushed. i ran brushed with others running brushless and the brushless is a lot faster, but if you want to run brushed I would run a Trinity based co27 stock motor.

Default go brushless

go brushless, it is more efficient and easy to use. low maintenance, but if you prefer stock brush motor the one mention above is really a good choice.

The Trinity CO27 is the standard. Kept tuned, it will be fine against brushless 17.5's. Though the move to 6 minute sedan mains, if that's what you'll be running, will make your maintenance cycle shorter.

Have fun. I like brushed motors, myself. And yes, I run plenty of brushless.

i was always told to find a good local tuner, based off the CO27. You should be able to find a bunch of different companies. There is brood, fantom, eurotek, EA, and several others that im forgetting.
