Default New E-Firestorm Flux goes full throttle when I turn the transmitter off.

What the heck. I just got a brand new E-f Flux and when I turn the radio off, sometimes it goes full throttle until I turn it off or the radio back on.

Any ideas as to why its doing this?

Always turn the car off first, then the radio. Opposite for turn on, turn on the radio then the car. Never do this backwards.

Anything RC, always turn the radio on 1st, then the RC.

Same deal for my heli - radio on 1st, then the heli.

If you don't give the car something to listen to, it will try to listen to anything on the air waves. Results may vary

castle creations ESCs have a flaw in them that if they lose radio contact they go full throttle, I did $50 worth of damage to my pede because of that....

Hmm I have never had this problem. It is possible that the receiver has a problem in terms of what its default state is when reception is lost. Did your Pede have the stock radio in it? If so, that was probably your problem. The stock radios that come with RTR's today are pure junk. Traxxas had to replace my E-maxx radio twice right out of the box and the 3rd one still didn't work. I didn't care because I was going to use my JR anyway, but at least I was going to try to get what I paid for since I had to buy an RTR to get an E-maxx in the first place.

I race for Castle for over a year and half and no time has this ever happened to me no matter how I shut my radio off. Also alot of FM systems nowadays have built in fail safe that can be setup to help stop this problem as well.

Did you by chance take the time to read the directions that came with your new truck? It should give you a step by step guide on how to turn on and turn off your system. I know everyone is excited when they get a new car/truck and want to run it as soon as possible but the directions will help you from having minor problems like this that may cause you to break your new truck and then have to wait a week or two to get new parts. Directions do slow things down some but they are truely your friend.

I hate to read them as much as anyone and once you learn the basics you have a better idea on how to do things so some directions you normally don't have to go over for every R/C after that.
