Vortex Sensor Board Replacement
Hello,
I seem to have a bad sensor board in my Vortex 17.5. Where can I buy a new one? I cannot add it to my cart on the Orion Website.
I couldn't get a reply from Orion Europe and the only contact for USA is Horizon Hobby. I didn't buy this motor from Horizon.
Any help is appreciated, i hate to have an expensive paper weight

Hi there,
I purchased a New Pro Stock 17.5 from OCRC here is CA earlier this week. My first three laps I pulled the TLR 22T to check temp..........150! This was with the stock timing so I went into the shop right away and bought a 78 tooth spur from the 75 I had. Now I am running 30 / 78 no boost and this thing hits 180 in 5 minutes. What is the issue? Everyone else at the track doesnt seem to have the heat issues and their gearing is the same if not exact..
The only thing I noticed was their timing was turned all the way torwards the A wich I thought would give more heat. Thanks for your help!

This thread is dead mate. Anyway, Vortex Pro Stock 17.5 (ORI28216) as far as im aware is discontinued so its no surprise you cant find info on it on the orion web page. They are over it and moved on to the VST motor. This motor is wicked fast if you gear, time and boost it right. It has a LOT of built in timing like the LRP X12 so treat it like that motor and wind the timing ring back if you are adding a lot of boost and turbo. I have mine backed off to minus 1 mark and it is flying.
