I orderd front and rear ceramic bearings for my motor and the front bearing comes with rubber seals on both sides.Do you guys run them with both seals or do you remove the inner seal?I don't really understand the specs boca listed because it is sealed and they are saying that the rpm limit with grease is 50 and with oil it is 59.I don't see how you could get oil in there if it is sealed on both sides?I was also told that ceramic bearings need a special break in procedure?Thanks

I have never used the Boca's but have had excellent results from TKO ceramic engine bearings. I use both seals on the front bearing.

Oh, and oil will find its way in there seals or not.

If you are running offroad then it is wise to keep the seal on the inside.

I am not so into the ceramic bearings. I must say the one in my JP Eagle is running great, even after 15 liters but if it was a good steel one I would be also happy with it.
I know for sure if the bearing got some play I will go for a original steel one, the gain in performance on paper seems to be awesome but on the track there is no difference, for sure if you are no topdriver. Beside that, 100+ euro for a ceramic bearing or 40 euro for an original steel is making 60 euro difference....
Regarding the front bearings that is not making a difference at al if it is steel or ceramic.

I know Boca makes good affordable ceramic bearings but I also have seen some problems with exploding balls which makes me think twice.

I too was hesitant to embrace ceramic bearings but TKO is starting to turn me into a believer.

well i have to agree with u guys, nonetheless those ceramic bearings do meet their purpose, less resistence if not faster , and should last longer than the steel ones ...right.
