Havent run it yet. Might on the next local CR on the 6th. I had an older picco that was a pretty good motor when I last ran it. So I went and got it out , modified it to be similiar to the red dot. I have a good feeling it should perform well. As far as the reviews go , most everyone whos run the red dot is more than happy it seems. Great value and top performance.

Sometimes the pins are too long and touch the clutch bell. I don't shave them. I tap them in further lightly with a hammer. Just place the flywheel on some wood (NOT your dinning table) and they go in nice and easy.

You dont even want to see my list. Its sickening , at least for me. I can only think about how much money I spent....ha. Heres some stuff off the top of my head.

I know for starters my car was all for LW/stiffness and durability

3racing CF steering plate
3racing cf lower suspension mounts
3racing CF bumper plate (just more secure , actually heavier)
3racing cf battery cover
3racing engine brace
3racing HS engine mount or the hpi hs engine mount

hpi v2 shocks
hpi TI screw kit
hpi CG arms
hpi CG wheel hex
hpi cf side plate
hpi cf lw flex side plate
hpi pro4 purple ti front turnbuckles
hpi rear solid axle (ran at front)
hpi 4 gear rear diff
hpi hara upper chassis
hpi hara super chassis

gpm exhaust mount
gpm ti brake disc

Misc:
acer racing poly bearings
lunsford ti turnbuckles (1-2mm longer than stock)
sanyo 1000mah AAA 5 cell
mugen mtx-3 clutch set w/ grey and yellow pads
lw digital servos
spektrum micro rx

Im sure there is more that im missing. I forget what the car weighed but I was right at legal weight = 1725G. The rest I leave plastic its lighter and the car will perform better. Plus metal likes to bend where as plastic can flex and will move back.

I never shared this cheaper option with you guys. Because I never tried it but I have a feeling itll fit the same.

If not just get the hpi rear solid diff and you just put it in the front. Solid diffs work well in low-mid traction situations and on tighter / smaller courses. Ive been running a solid for awhile now. I think its a good option and its ZERO maintenance as well it wont change from day to day or if the temperature changes.

Heres an even lighter weight option.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Hot-Racing-HPI-S...QQcmdZViewItem

I bought this but never used it and have no idea where it went. I also lost a kawahara 2 speed and some others kawahara goodies for the r40. That really erks me.
