That link is not to the Hara upper deck. I typed in all the part numbers and tower does not show any of them.

Thanks though.

Yeah Sry man but you are wrong again. Tower doesn't have ANY of the Hara parts...LOL.

Hey Rapid are you using this on your R40?
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHYL2&P=Z

I Plan on maybe getting it for mine since there is a crack in 2 places on the stock one I have. It being 20% lighter seems like that'd also contribute with more weight reduction and really make this LW 2speed work even more. I already have the chassis.

All those items there are old. The new 05 hara doesn't even have most of it's items on towers site since it's been changed up...especially the chassis which is claimed to be $100!!!

I believe the Hara edition parts can be bought from Buy HPI. Just go to http://www.hpiracing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc and do a part search for "Hara". They are at retail price so you're going to pay way more for them there than if you bought them through tower (whenever they're available).

Please advise and thanks.
How much do you want to bet if you sell your exisitng R40 (for $150 or so), use the money, and add $250 more and get the 2005 spec and still be cheaper then UPGRADING piece by piece...?

Not to mention, technically you CANNOT get all the parts that you want for HARA or 2005 spec from TOWER.

Ask FastHarry, he got connection about ordering 2005 Spec thru Jet Hobby at HK site, I think it is listed $350 plus about $40 shipping.

Just my 2 cents....

I paid $320 plus $45 shipping just this week. I get a discount at the store, I think the regular price is around $350 as harry says.

If I were to sell the R40 I'd that may just end up buying a Mugen MTX3 prospec used or something. Though I'd really hate to give up my R40. I love it too much.

Hark,

I don't use the .8 2 speed on either of my cars. I do use the LW upper deck on both. It doesn't save too much weight though. What it does do is allow the car to flex just a bit more. I also run only 2 screws in my side brace to create a bit more flex as well. Before any of you start in on me about how a stiffer chassis is always better, this subject was beaten to death waaayyy back. The setup I use right now is similar to the one Hara uses on his R40 and I really like it. It gives me a large sweet spot, so I can keep the car planted easier as the track conditions change durring the day.
