Sorry about that Larry, I mean Barry, I mean FastHarry....

Honestly, I was getting so nervous not to screw it up again I was liplocking myself and screwing it up anyway....Really sorry about that

It was great meeting everyone both those I have met before and meeting alot of people for the first time....It was a great challenge and I was very pleased to put my R40 in the A-Main and to finish 5th the first time out with the car on a track

Ya, sounds like you guy had a great time. I'm soooo jealous!!! Us West Coast guys got left out in the cold this year.

I don't really understand HPI's attitude toward having (or not having) challenge races in the Western US. I guess I just have to take my 5 HPI cars and just keep racing. I've tried other MFG's cars too, but always seem to end up running HPI.

yeah I got a whole bunch of different shore ellegi technics and jaco nc's for practically nothin, well chuffed! and then my club decides to run rip off rubbers.
I'm gonna protest!

Awesome got my hpi weight checker. I weighed the car and it weighs 1706g without body.

Still need to put my lw battery on there. That will put me around 1670. So far so good....but im sure you guys are a lot lighter than this right?

Ive also been reading the beginning of the r40 thread for more info. Lots of good stuff, sad its so hard to find in this large thread.

Hara/2005 edition should be out soon. Im not sure if it is out yet in over seas. But it should be out very soon. Im suprised we havent gotten word on the hara edition yet. But the 2005 has been debuted, at least a prototype there are pictures somewhere of it in this thread.

Its got a solid chassis, no battery slot, relocated gas tank and a different upper deck. Not sure all the other things that go with it. But along with the 2005 they were showing titanium pivot balls and other option parts.

Its hard to tell what exactly was done, but we will find out sooner than later.

1670 + 110(body) = 1780g very nice!

Mine is 1770 +/- 5 (using front spool).

Depending on which electronics we use.... you certainly in the ballpark.

Yeah that reminds me I need to swap in the front spool. Also getting pretty close to finishing or at least releasing that weight list.

I think ive pretty much found everything there is to find for our cars. Just need to buy a few more things weigh it out and get it all together and then confirm it.

I still have the one-way, battery box, rx box, heavy battery, ugly rear plastic body mount & plastic r40 handle on the car.

Also forgot I was running my heavy wheels. I swapped to my other ones (brand new). Now the car weighs 1696.

ei guys,

is fastharry really 51?
my dad is 43 and he doubts making it to the a-main, maybe i can tell him bout fastharry

new with nitro and the r40, i finishd a 20 min. race last weekend in my local club race.

i usually race electric, and i think nitro cars handle really bad(rear end is very loose compared to electric).

im running hara's setup from 04roar nats

is the rear end of the car really loose? how do your cars drive?

dont ya think its a little narrow minded to assume all nitro cars handle bad just because you are yet to dial in your r40 the way you like it. keep trying different setups and tyres, copying someone else's setup doesn't always guarantee you success.
