Default New Change

Nothing all you have to do is transfer the parts over and you will be ready to go.

We had a good week at the nats. My car was solid all week long and just had to make minor adjustments for the track. The track was really fun. Panther brought their new bigger wider wheel and it was great. I had a decent run every qualifier and actually qualified in a quarter final which is like the C main. The main was full of fast drivers, I was running 7th or 8th and had a technical problem finishing 11th.

However the car was fantastic all week long.

The buggy looked good on the loamy semi rutted track. It jumped great. Brian ran a smooth race.
I had servo issues so I pitted for him.

Default Great Job

Thanks Dave I am glad you did so well, I have heard nothing but good things about you as a racer and a team driver.

I am sure we will here from John later this week.

Racing started at 9:30am Saturday didn't really have time to set the car up right. With really fast guys running the East Coast Nitro Series. I decided to run Liam in sportsman class, he wasn't very happy about that. In sports man class he placed 3rd with really fast guys also after a flame out. I wish the main was 45 min and not 30min once he got going he was on rails. So here is what Liam was running SX-8 Ver.2008.5 Let me explain I brought light weight front and rear outdrives and beveled gears. Light weight center brake
outdrives is what I got from TQ racing. Light weight chassis braces Kyosho 48 tooth light weight spur gear 14 tooth clutch bell. I tryed to keep the car all plastic as far as all the blocks to keep it as light as possible. After a few teaks the car was on rails. He did break the rear plastic block switched it to alum block. The car felt way differant then the 2008 car. So right now Liam is running a 2008.5 car. We will get a 2009 version as soon as they come in. Thanks Luther and Jesse for getting the parts out so quickly.http://www.carolinasrc.com/forum/for....asp?TID=19288
Finally I got to download the videos of the East Coast Nitro Series Rd 3 at the farm on you tube

I'm not sure where. I don't even think ROAR knows yet. I do believe it will be on the east coast. I've heard the Florida guys talking about many tracks putting in for the nationals next year plus I hear the Farm II or it's new name.

Our race report from the 09 Nats;
We had been fighting servo issues and lady luck just chose not to run with us. The car had so much traction all setup work was done to loose it. In our main we were cut off going into the sweeper launching us into the orange safety fence helping the body to come loose. All in all the car performed great with no failures. Working with Dave we found a great setup for us. My son was not happy with our results but said TQ, Panther and I “gave him the best car he has ever had to race”. On to the next race...

I also want to thank Curtis May for his help. I guess I have a NCIS smack to the back of head coming.

Wow what a long weekend!..Poor Johnny had some bad luck no doubt about that,With help from Dave and myself Johnny's car was pretty dialed.He turned a pretty quick 11 lap run,and looked as if he was going to put on a bump fest,but like John said he got worked pretty good coming off of the strait and never recovered from that.Tq has put together a pretty strong team and has some great guys..It was nice to put faces with names...
