I remember that you did the short wheel base mod to your 04R that you posted in the 04 thread a while back.

Did you have to change the dog-bones for that mod?... did you have to go shorter than 39mm?... Thanks
TRF-powered, No, you do not change anything except the body and the arms :-). The distance from left to right wheel is the same or very close. the distance from the front and back wheel is changed by 10mm. Lots of steering. :-)

Those bulkheads are not for sale. I know the owner... I think he simply polished the outsides of the bulkheads to reveal the silver.

Default 414M rally conversion

anyone here tried using the HPI interior rally shell for the 414M? the lower chassis looks identical to the HPI rally kit, i was wondering if it will fit the 414M with minor trimming. anyone tried this? pics would be nice thanks for any info

Hi,

What did he use to polish the outside? I have a spare set of bulkheads and thought about doing the same.

Why are the TRF drivers use only the Evo3s in major races nowadays? Is it the end for our 414m2s?

Anybody knows where can i get Eagle aluminum knuckle arms in the web?

Well, all the TRF drivers use Evo3 to promote the car!!! that's about it. M2 is a very capable car!, it won the world title~!

if you want Eagle stuff, go to
www.integy.com
I think they are the distrubutor for eagle product.

This is the setup I run all the time at parking lot tracks (sprayed with soda or VHT). It's extremely fast in stock, but I need to work on it for mod.

Front

kick-up: FF - 0.7mm, FR - 0mm
spring: Tamiya yellow or sometimes Associated gold
oil: 50wt.
droop: 2.5mm
uprights: left - C2, right - C1
camber - -1deg
upper link spacer: 0mm
toe: 0deg

Rear

kick-up: FF - 1.7mm, FR - 1mm
spring: Tamiya yellow or sometimes Associated silver
oil: 40wt.
droop: 4mm
camber - -1deg
upper link spacer: 0mm
toe: 2.5deg in

gearing - 120/34 or 124/35 (monster stock)

Lately I have been running the upper links on the shock tower (to simulate Evo3.) More responsive but less grip.

I don't have a pic. The inner upper link is just mounted on the shock tower holes like the original Evo3.

FYI - the SSG shock towers don't have these holes.
