I've been using the SHO's since they were released. I've had 4 packs. Last week I ordered 2 new ones and compaired the numbers, exactlly the same, The packs that I have been running for about 4 months are putting out the same #'s as the brand new ones. Amazing.

I charge a 6amps. 3mv peak detection
store packs with whatever is left after a race.
Equalize to .9 volts

You can get all of this info on their web site.

Is this for Orion charger or just for MM, 6A is normal for almost all kind of charger, but 3mv is too low for MM CTX charger, in the case i charge 6 cell gp3700 pack with 6mv with a big AC cooler fan.

Now the batteries is too far with too high capacity as higher than LIPO, since the batteries is higher than 3700 then troublesome is appearing.
I think the different companies are going on higher mah batteries is just influencing the custormers for their "competition" on the market.
As we could see even EP is releasing 4000 going reversely just for a good reason, just for different customers like me, which race in stock class, don't need to much runtime but high punch.

The 5300 is designed for 5 cell Mod. They are still close to run time.

Aahh?
Really need so much capacity, as i know bigger runtime as they are punch should be lower?
Then put on 5cell to race in 5min?

That's the geat thing about brushless. 5 cell 3.5 can be geared to get any feel that you want.

Wow, i never race before modified race like this, my last 5 min modified was in '96, but with foam tyres and 12t motor on a medium size track, as you can see is totally different.
Running with so low turn motor like 3.5 on large tracks like the karting ones, is unimaginable, should be hugely fast.
