Default Team Orion SHO 4200 Cells - Touring Car Usage

These cells have been around for quite sometime. Anyone has any experience with them? Any tips for charging, discharging, maintenance and storage?

Whats the settings to charge them using a Much-More Cell Master charger for 5 and 6 cells?

Thanks!

Is it a secret Joehwee? Please feel free to share your findings.

So far, this is the only published report on these cells I've found:
http://www.rceasy.com/2007/12/12/tea...shos-dominate/
Being an off-road event (where you're more traction bound than power bound) I'm sure that Cavaliery would have done just as well with pretty much any recent cell out there.

Anyone successful with these cells at a major event in a class dependent on maximum cell performance? Like TC Mod Carpet on foams?
A couple of posts on here mention how the Team Orion drivers "rip" with these cells. Well... where's the beef?

I'm sure Orion cells are powerfull, but what I would like to know - how about stability and lifespan? Any venting/exploding cells?

well the cells just became available so it's too soon to draw any conclusions on their reliability, but so far here are my findings:

John,

How much runtime or capacity are you left with in a 5 cell SHO pack after a typical 5+ min run with a 3.5T brushless motor?

Thanks.

my equipment is
Nosram ISTC (2-4-0-0)
Orion 3.5 brushless (very little timing, middle line is further right than middle of "C" solder tab)

Since I did not stop on the 5 minute mark and I kept going till I felt an obvious drop in performance I cannot be precise on this information.
Both packs run up to 5:20 and had almost nothing left in them on that point, about 150mAh at 10Amp discharge rate.
I know that running the packs till they dump is killing them, so I will not do that again, I just did it the first 3 times to check runntime...gearing.. etc.
Also keep in mind that as you noticed this is on a fairly large track made for 1/8 scale cars with big flowing turns and long straights. I would consider it a "high drain" track demanding good runntime out of a pack, so if I can make time now, on this track, there should not be any problems making runntime in the majority of the tracks elsewhere.
Also I was informed that my pack which writes 411sec is about average and one can come accross SHO 'EU' packs with up to 420+ sec.

Could somebody comment if i wonder to charge it with Delta5 on 6A in Linear, please?
