I dont want to change your mind but I could save you alot of money and suggest a ofna manual tire truer?I bought one from kamikazehobbies with 1/10 adapter and hudy cutter bit and it was the best value for money rc item I have ever bought!this truer runs on 12volt just the 12 volt gel cells that u use in a starter box is good and can cut up to 4-5mm with the huddy cutter bit.for under $150 like I said value for money and good quality too.
cheers

$450.00 US is about the going price for a Hudy Truer. Hudy's don't come cheap; you are buying the very best. Any thing less than 400.00 you have to look at the used market. I suggest you take the advice of the eariler post and look at other brands if you have a problem with $400+
sorry for the bad news

Race you later...

I have the Hudy manual tire truer and it was a lot less than the auto unit.

Just make sure you get the good cutting bit for it, Hudy is the best you can get.

I've seen many and I mean MANY tire truers but NONE cut as good and the Hudy #102003. I got mine from NeXus Racing. They don't have it listed on their site but just email them and they should hook you up. It was last year and I can't remember exactly what I paid for it but it was the cheapest I found.

Can the OFNA truer take off 3mm in one cut and still leave a baby butt smooth finish? If not, it can beat a $80 one. I mean I don't have the time to take off .5mm at a time when I'm at the track.
