Guys as far as I know the Cobra does not come with tires and no body. I will ask the Serpent Team that will be at the World GT Race just to be sure about that. The body pictures is an Alpha. They were testing today at the track so lets see how things turn out tomorow. There will be 2 rounds of qualifying in the afternoon. I will post as many pictures as I can.
Racing is very close and everyone is flying. The track record has been shattered with most doing 13 laps and to even be on the first positions of the C main in Open you need a low 5minute 12 laps at least. The laps are 23 seconds and 24, before this race they where up to 2 seconds slower. I did much better today but missed getting that exclusive 13 laps by traction rolling in one of the curbs. But I did 12 in 5:05s so with the final two rounds of qualifying tomorrow (Sunday already ) I hope to make the A Main. I'm again tired so pictures tomorrow, sorry.

Coverage?!?!
It is sad this race is not on Liverc. I would love to watch it.
Please keep us informed as much as you can.
Also, What motors in spec and open seem to be the fastest? What tires are being ran? What cars are being ran and doing well? Anything other than Ofna, Serpent, and Kyosho?
Thanks and good luck.

Sorry for the lack of coverage.
--What cars are being ran and doing well?
In open these are the top three
1. Paolo - Serpent Nova - Alpha tires/body
2. Andy - DM1 Nova - Alpha tires/protoform body
3. Rino - Serpent Nova - Alpha Tires/body
--What motors in spec and open seem to be the fastest?
In spek also Novarosi-Alpha seems to be fastest.
--Anything other than Ofna, Serpent, and Kyosho?
There's two guys that use the Mugen MBX6R base and make a car, the car is performed pretty well I think one of them is currently 5 or 6 in the top ten.
---What tires are being ran?
There's people using Sweep tires, Ipanema of course and Alpha.
Hope this help.

Ok guys, since Zobeida already said who won in Open I'll say that in Spec the results where:
Spec A Main TQ went to Rino Lino with Serpent - Novarossi - Alpha Tires and Body
1) Hilton Martinez - DM1 - Werks - with Ipanema Tires and Body
2) Sammy Zayas - DM1 - OFNA Jeffrey Lin - Alpha Tires and OFNA Body
3) Joaquin DeSoto - Serpent - Novarossi - Alpha Tires and Body
Here is the complete A Main in Open, I don't know all the equipment used so sorry for that:
Paolo Morganti -Serpent
Andy Baez - DM1
Jose O. Gonzalez - Mugen
Juan Chalas - DM1
Joaquin DeSoto - Serpent
Rino Lino - Serpent
Tony Q - Kyosho
Ivan Vazquez -Kyosho
Antonio Mellado - DM1
Fernando Mendez - Kyosho
Jose A. Martinez - DM1
Alejandro Rodriguez - Mugen
As for me I had a sweet and sour weekend after a full week sick in bed I just couldn't work on my cars. Trying to run both classes was a big mistake since I couldn't give my full attention to each car. I decided to go for gold in Open trying to bump from the B Main. After 4 flameouts the first 2 while in a bump up position. I finished first in the B Main after the guys bumped up. My DM1 with a Sirio motor was a true rocket.
So all in all it was a great race and everyone had a great time. I have to thank Jeff from Ipanema, Andy and Zobeida from Pit Lane Hobby for all their help as well. Also to Sammy from Extreme Hobbies for parts support as well. I was great to be the host track for this GT only event. The rain stopped enough so that we could do around 11 qualifiers between Friday, Saturday and we even ran one round today. The mains where very long with 60 minutes A Mains, 45 minutes for the B Main and then 30 minutes every other main.
It was really nice getting to meet some forum friends like Tony Q, Paolo, Rino, Juaquin and great to spend some time with old friends like Juan Blaylock , Mike Leday and Jeff. For those that couldn't make this race sorry that you guys missed a great race. I can't wait to get to the Byron's Race in Chicago. More photos soon...

I forgot to post that those Serpents are really fast and very consistent. The cars are super light and get up to speed in a hurry with awesome acceleration. I really want one after seeing it in person and talking to the Serpent guys. I hope this car brings more people into GT as well as more manufacturers. Also notable mention for the Mugen boys that made great GT cars out of MBX-6R. They didn't have much time to get to practice with the car before the race and it was a good result for them as well.

Congrats Paolo, Andy and all the podium makers !! ...
Of course, congratulations to everyone who participated on this race and thanks Jeff, Ipanema, Puerto Rico's crew and everyone that made this happen ...
Independently of the brands making podiums, its GREAT to see lots of people bruning nitro together on a GT Class event, and pushing for this class to grow ...
wish everyone the best ...
