Does anyone make a carpet chassis for the 416? Although I am not totally sold on the stiffer chassis.

Tamiya actually released the 2.5mm chassis which I believe might be on a limited qty only.... I bought one from HK!

For those running the KO race this weekend -

I've gotten a few PM's regarding setups, I have just switched over to the Solaris tires and am still a little off pace with them. I'm still making small revisions to my setup right now, and it should be done by Friday.

Honestly there is a lot that I can't even list on a normal setup sheet, WCRC is an extremely high bite track and normal setups will just push. I will be there on Thurs and Fri for open practice, and anyone driving a 416 is welcome to come over and get my setup.

Just an FYI, my setups are generally very aggressive and have little rear end grip, this one is no exception but it should be pretty fast.

Randy..since I'm just a normal driver, am I going to be able to handle your insane, crazy fast setup? Considering that it doesn't even fit on a normal setup sheet is intimidating to know.

Hi Guys

I am pondering getting a 416x as my racer for next year. My ta05ms is doing well at my local circuit as I am very rarely out of the top 3 in the Afinals.

However after saving up I am tempted to get the trf416x but as I race on a tight indoor carpet track (with speed passion gt2.0 - 10.5bl) will I actually be taking a step back? The Ta05ms was made for this sort of track but it seems to me that the trf416 seem to be for low turn motors and large outside circuits.

would I be wasting my money, and should I wait for a carpet chassis? (hopefully that can take stick packs).

Just interested in your opinion as I dont want to spend £400 and then stop winning.

Cheers

Although reading this back it looks like I should just keep my current car.

Certain parts of it will work for everyone, if you're coming down for the race and need help with setup just come over and I'll guide you in the right direction. Unfortunately Corey Lewis won't be running this weekend, but he has a good setup for WCRC that anyone can drive. I'll get in touch with him and see if he still has the setup on his car and will let me borrow it for the weekend to let people get the setup off of.

Hi Guys
Just Came back from Club night and that was my first serious race with 416 ...
I have to say you have to be a very smooth Driver to enjoy this car...
I find the car generates more grip over t2 and faster but not very consistant and really Hard to drive...
That was one my worst nights overall LOL

Oh ok, good thing there's a setup for us regular guys. Phew, that was close. But good thing there's other people who have set-ups for us non-Randy-Caster drivers.

See everyone Friday!
