Don't cut your antenna shorter. You will kill the range. You can do an antenna wrap type of solution though if you are running a good enough radio.

Hey guys,

I ran my 1/12th today with the prototype front springs on a huge 1/8th nitro track. The traction was extremely high. They did exactly what i had planned on. They helped the car roll more evenly, increased rotation, and picked up cornerspeed. I ran 19 turn and was about .3-.4 per lap slower than the fastest 1/8th car. This is huge considering the size of the track and flowing layout. I was very happy with this. I was right on pace with nitro sedans. I will be going into production immediately with the new springs.

I used the stock flex plates. The only change from the stock gear was a red center spring and prototype front springs on the kingpins.

He ran .070" standard flex plates and no set screws in the flex plates.

I gotta say I'm loving my DB12 more and more every time I run it I'm running a copper center spring, 7000wt in the tubes, 5000 on the kingpins, batteries in the middle, flat servo, and a Jaco Lilac/yellow tire combo. This is for a 17.5 motor. If anyone is coming to the carpet nats make sure to look me up, I practically live there

hey jason. ran the car today with the changes you recommended. copper spring 40wt in the shock. .018 springs and thin plates with set screws touching chassis. parma magenta front and gray rear. basically schrefflers setup from birds. all i can say is wow! i put 2 laps on from last week and lap times dropped from 12.1 to 11.7 which is only .6 off from fast guys. i can still use more steering though. i still cant get the car to carve into a turn especially after the sweeper. this is where i lose time cause i have to slow down. overall im extremely happy with the car and im hoping the new springs will help close that gap now im pumped for next weeks trophy race thanx bro!!

Jason, Are you going to have any of the DB12R kits with you at Jonesboro if you go?

where do you run your batteries? For me running the batteries in the middle really lets the car rotate in the corners.

Try going to the tall ball stud on the shock mount. This should help. The new front springs keep the car real flat and make it carve real hard. This is the little edge i was looking for.

rephrase, the car rolls more evenly which in terms keeps the rear of the chassis from touching down through high speed sweepers.
