Hey Jason- The new site looks GREAT! I am finally gonna spring for one of your cars this week, along with a lot of spare parts, we have two of these cars running at my local track in Minnesota, they look like a nice working car. I have been following this thread rather closely and I love the amount of support and clear concise answers you give people. One thing I noticed on the new website, and the old, is there is NO part number for the new rear brace, other than that, looks GREAT!!

Ran the production car to night on your tight little track and the car was alot better than the loose nut behind the wheel i was wondering if any body had a carpet set up for useing "jack"? any setups will be great

What i liked on jack was this setup:

Front:
.020 front springs w/ 5000 wt oil on the kingpins
purple front tires at 1.650 sauce inside 1/2 of fronts
1.5 degrees camber
3.5mm ride height
10 degree ractive castor blocks
4 degrees castor
servo flat

Rear:
Red center spring w/ 40 wt. oil
Tall ballstud on shock/antenna mount
batts forward
Sure lube #4 in the tubes
Yellow rear tires at 1.750 and full sauce
172mm rear track width
3.5mm ride height
1-1.5mm pod droop.
stock flex plates w/ no set screw

Sauce tires for about 30 minutes wipe off and run. I ran a parma Speed 8 body. The car was real precise and smooth.

Breakage isnt very common but what i like to keep in my box for spares is flex plates,Center pivot,side ball pivots(Delrin parts),and maybe a set of front arms. For the most part,the tires are what i spend time getting figured out. You never know which compound is the one that will be the best for the track that day.

I have 2 questions.
1. Are you going to continue making chassis' and such for other cars, i.e. Xray, assoc.?
2. With as many 1/12th scale cars on the market today, why would the DB12 the best choice? I ask because I am interested in changing to a new one.

I can say it is the most consistant 12th I have ever run. It does not tweek in the traditional sense, it is either right, or broken. BMI has superior service, and is always looking for new ways not only to make the car faster, but to make the racers life easier...

We are no longer making chassis kits for other brand cars.

We believe the DB12R is the most advanced 1/12th on the market. Its not a T-Bar Car and its not a Link Car...we took the best features of both and created the new Flex Link rear suspension system. The Flex link system allows the DB12R to work under conditions where other cars have to compromise. For example T-Bar cars have to go to a softer t-bar on bumpy tracks but this change also reduces steering. In order to keep the car hooked up you have to compromise and deal with less steering. Link cars are great on high bite carpet but they struggle on low bite carpet an on asphalt. They just don't transfer weight agressively enough to generate the traction needed on low bite tracks.

The DB12R can handle bumpy track without losing steering because our rear suspension allows independant adjustment for front to rear and side to side spring rates. The DB12R can be fast on high and low bite carpet and asphalt because the Flex links are much more progressive in spring rate than even progressive coil springs used on link cars.

The main selling point is the DB12R is just plain fast out of the box. It works everywhere with no fuss.
