Sweet! I've been waiting and waiting for that R1 to come out...how much longer do we have to wait? Which wheels are those...rather interesting design.

Was that the one that thermaled at like the 5 minute mark in the main? It looks like T.M. Racing Tires.

When the rear pod is installed with the exception of the screw into the center pivot ball connecting the main chassis to the lower pod plate, there is a gap between the pivot ball and the chassis. When this screw is installed, it pulls the rear pod assembly down a bit and adds some preload to the L-plates. This gap I'm referring to is approximately 0.3mm to 0.4mm. I'm curious if this was by design of if it is being induced from the dimensional tolerances of some of the components.

Thanks,
This was a slight bit of preload that was designed into the rear suspension. It creates a soft spot off center which made the car initiate the corner better than without the preload. This was one of the last refinements made before the release of the car. It made the car real smooth and easier to drive as well as give it more turn in

Johnny- Yes, we were testing different motors all weekend and we tried our 2.5t (7.8 Kv) in the main purposely over geared by what we figured would be 5 teeth to find the limit (31/96). The R1 Pro may have made it.

We ran our 3.5t (5.8 Kv) with 35/88 on it and didn't thermal once. Somebody has to do the testing.

T.M. Tires they are: Excellent tires, very consistent, very durable and affordable. Here's a link: http://www.tm-rc-racingcomponents.com/

thats what testing prior to a big race is for so you know exactly what to do at the race not to test during the big race.

Goop- You ninny.... The R1 isn't out yet! You of all people know that plenty of products are tested during big race formats, even for the first time without having seen prior testing (at least by that particular driver). Don't you think that if Tekin could have gotten me an R1/Redline combo before the Classic to test that they would have? As it is the one that I used was sent back the next day....you ninny....

I just thought it was cool to see a shot of my car on Rob's (Nashers') famous site...geesh, cut a brother some slack or we are going to have to have that long over due talk.
