Hey guys, UPS just delivered my new DM-1 N-TYPE body
that I ordered from KAMIKAZE HOBBIES, or whats left of it.
The UPS driver was half way back to his truck when I opened
the door and saw a big cardboard box that was one-third smashed
flat. I shouted for him to come back, he did. I asked him if that
box looked o.k. to him and he stated that he just delivers what
is loaded on his truck. I then opened the box to find that the
front end of the body, from the windshield to the bottom of the
bumper, smashed dead center in a v-shape. He stated that it was
improperly packed for shipping and that he wouldn't take it back.
Also, he stated that because I opened the front of the ripped up
box, to check for damage, it was mine now. It took me alot not to
bust him up right then and there. I have ordered many rc bodies and
parts over the years and this has been the only, true nightmare order
that I have had. Thanks for the great buying experience KAMIAZE.
My order started out kinda strange and ended up a useless waste of
my money. BUYER BEWARE!!!! YEA I'M PISSED.....................

Why don't you grow up, call UPS customer service and explain what happened. Its a slow painful process but its better than bad mouthing the shop you bought it from. I am sure it was not their fault.

+1
It sounds like the package was definitely damaged in transit but it is not the fault of the store and the delivery driver. UPS is responsible for the damage but like wwoodruff stated, poor mouthing the hobbyshop gets you nowhere!! Busting up the driver would have just landed you in jail with an assault charge and your still would have had a damaged package with no resolution.

YEA RIGHT!!!! Spend the time and effort to box it back up
PROPERLY, then go through all the b.s. with UPS and wait
up to a month, for what? Another improperly packaged, beat
up body. No thanks, I am fed up with my one and only order
that I will do with KAMIKAZE. After seeing what a half-assed
way my body was packaged I learned my lesson. The package
was made-up out of two boxes, with one strip of tape holding
it together down the center. It looks like the smashed end of
box never had been taped shut at all. Yea, a real peice of
work to look at.
What I think I will do though, is heat gun all of the wrinkles
out of it I can. Then I'm going to paint an ass cheeks on both
sides of the four inch crack on the hood with a Kamikaze Krap
tattoo on one of them and Never Again on the other.

If you weren't going to go through the proper channels to get this situation rectified, when why did you post on here? Did Kamikaze handle the package every step of the way, NO!!! So, to place the blame solely on Kamikaze is off base. If you are going to be like this, then why didn't you just buy it from your LHS or has your LHS order it for you. Guess trying to save a couple of bucks by bypassing your LHS has caused you more headache and frustration than what it was worth. And again, being a hot-head about it does not rectify what has already happened.

It never was about the money and still isn't. I never
before, received a package that was thrown together
so shoddy. Usualy, when I unpack a body the box is
stuffed full of foam peanuts or at least balled up news
paper, to protect the body from being scuffed up and
smashed. Also, the were in a descent somewhat heavy
duty box that was taped up properly. But not this one.
No packing in the box to help it make the trip without
getting scuffed up or much less help the thin box from
colappsing.
So, in short all I will do is tell Sam that he should be ashamed
of his self and wish him a his family much bad luck for the rest
of this year. His lack of pride in his customer service, in the way
of, after he gets your money he doesn't care how the product
arrives to you, has brought dishonor to himself and his business
from me.

Kamikaze Toys and Hobbies is one of the most respected shops around <bar none!>
I have dealt with them on numerous items, and found them to be very respectful of the customers needs, and I find it very hard to believe that this problem resulted in "packaging"

I dont care how an item is packaged, if it is mishandled in shipping, then the waiting customer unfourtunatley pays the price with damaged goods.
You should have contacted Sam either through e-mail, or by phone and explain the problem that way.
You will find Far more satisfied Kamikaze customers, than you will find unsatisfied customers with out a doubt.
Sam is Very well respected in the RC community and if it were a problem with packaging, he would have taken care of it for you.
Deal with the problem, be it shipping, or handling, but not on a forum

Your responses about the situation show that you are very childish and immature. Also, you had better watch what you say about wishing bad luck on someone. Karma is a son-of-a-gun!!!! Sorry that you had a bad experience but it seems to be more on UPS than it is the shipper (Kamikaze). Your posts will not win you any sympathy with forum users and remember, Karma is a b****!!

I've said all that I wanted to say about the man and
what he did. He knows what he did wasn't right.
But who knows, he may not care. I just hope my
posts makes him think about how he packs up the
orders that the rest of you make from him and he
ships your items properly.

WOW, was this really necessary. You could have contacted Sam and UPS first before posting on RC tech. If both of them told you to go F$%#-yourself, then you could have come on here and posted your experience with both companies. Does this mean you won't be using UPS either because I don't think Sam would have smashed the box in and mailed it to you.

I have worked for UPS before in the hubs. Loaders are pretty rough on packages. They will cram as many packages as possible into a "wall" to save space. If it remotely looks like a bigger package will fit into a smaller space, the loader will find a way to cram it in there. It doesnt matter if your package is light or heavy, they'll get all shipped together. Any load shifts happen and that heavy package could end up on top of your lighter package crushing it.

Improper packaging and improper handling, both were factors
in me getting, one screwed up mess. It was my first time ordering
from them and after this. Well, I feel like I can't trust the guy
again. Enough said, whats done is done. Lesson learned. I don't
think that I would have been so upset over this matter if it had
not been the one thing that I needed to get my DM-1 ready to
race this coming weekend. Tbo713 had me pumped up about running
up at the 301 track and the body was all that I needed to get it done.
