Saturday at the races my throttle started working intermittenly. It seemed like the Spektrum failsafe was activating. Maybe dead battery. Put in a freshly charged batt. and still same thing. This would only happen if the engine was running. Weird. After charging my first batt. I still had the same thing. So I switched RX and same deal. About every 5th or 6th corner my throttle would just go to neutral, and then come back all of a sudden. I thought I was getting interference with a Spektrum! Today I found I had loose connection on battery wire to the RX. It was another really simple fix that kept me from racing. I don't think I'll ever get to finish the Mains. But I'll keep trying. Now I don't like these type of plugs anymore.

I've had the cvd pin come loose and also had the set screw that holds the cvd to the output shaft come loose. Both were blue locktited. I now use a piece of shrink tubing over the cvd as extra insurance.

air8 with those symptoms I was going to suggest checking solder joints near the battery or switch if you use one. I almost hospitalized a marshal once when my battery wire broke

I tried shrinkwrap on the outputs and have had one rip last weekend but the front is still in tact. I usually regrease the driveshafts after every race day to help them last longer. Seems like some of the guys are going to the silicone cvd type shaft boots though I know this won't help the pins stay put. I usually red loctite all those set screws. I've had them spin a few times like Satoch describes on the outputs.
