I want to rebuilt my diff on my losi type R.

Could someone let me know if the thrust bearing #3098 will fit or should I really go with the #3018

thanks

Don't use the losi ones. Go for the XRAY AXIAL F3-8 bearings used in their models. Awesome.

Well, I found the rear carriers were mounted on the opposite sides on my new to me car. They are the 1* blocks. I've swapped them and now have 3* rear toe on each side. The car did come with the stock 0* carriers and I also picked up the 0.5* blocks from my LHS while I was at it. I haven't tried it yet, but the funny thing is, the car drove really well with them reversed. Rear toe would only have been at 1* on each side with -1* per carrier. Under what circumstances would having them reversed make sense?

the best thrust bearings are the McMaster Carr ones. I have been using some of them for 2 years now without replacement. when I rebuild the diff I clean them and relube and they are as good as new.

The losi imes won't last a tenth of the life of the xray ones. I suppose it depends how much you race.

Is there a particular part number we can get from you for these? Where do you source them from?

McMaster is the KING of hardware. If you need it, most likely they have it. I also reccomend the mcmaster thrust bearing, though they are a bit pricey, especially if you need to order only one bearing.

Ours are 12.95 ea and come with ceramic balls in a nice hardened cage (I had these specially designed for RC), add another set for 50% off.

Paul Lemiux claims they are the best he has ever ran, along with Mr. EA himself!
