I'm thinking that since there is a 50 lb limit before the surcharge, my check-in will be limited to only stuff that they won't question, and personell won't pocket.
So, the power supply, chargers soldering station and lathe can all be checked in a suitcase. If there is anymore space for stuff, it will be for spares.

Carry-on will be the chassis, shells, sticks and transmitter. Basically, anything I can't bum off anyone, or too costly to replace. Along with one change of clothes...

If I were to ship anything, make it light weight stuff, tires, additional clothes, traction compounds, shock oils and any other liquids that the airlines will question. But the light weight bulky stuff should be shipped to keep costs down.

Roachracing,
This would be incorrect. there is no arrangment for Racer to ship their stuff. We can not expect anyone to be responsible for a racers equipment except the racers themselves.

Everyone needs to understand that this will not be much different then it was before. It will just take more time to go through security.

Use common sense. Do not bring liquids of any kind. Do not bring motor spray. Do NOT carry on batteries in your carryon bag, have them checked with your luggage. Carry on only things that can not be replaced. Cars, and radio is all I carry on.
Stay with your stuff thru the checking process and be open and honest with the staff at the airport. Explain explain explain. You should not have problems.

Things should calm down in the next month or so.

Just use common sense.

See you in Vegas

Different in what respect? It is CRC Fastrak ozite or at least it was last year. I am sure they will be using the same stuff again this year. If I am wrong I am sure I will be corrected quickly!!

Boomer/Scotty -

Any idea how much we can expect to pay for an extra T-Shirt?

Boomer,
what about pit space, do we reserve it? is are you just gonna open the doors and everyone runs in to get the spot they want? that would be funny!

Was pretty much first come first serve last year except for teams. It really was not that bad though and once you set up you don't need to tear down till Sunday.
