My OS .28 is overheating in my 8ight-T !!

Last year I ran an OS .28 in my 8ight T and the engine liked to run in the high 200's (280-290). I probally didnt even get 4 gallons out of it and cracked this piston at the eyelit. I did run it pretty rich to help with the temp but in the end I had to replace the engine.

Here I am again, Just got the new OS .28, I was breaking it in this weekend with the heat cycle methos and it was running perfect with the body off (200-220) Once I got a few tanks through it I put the body back on and the temps shot up to 280. The motor is deffinetly on the rich side but putting that body on is bring the temp up 60 degrees. I have half of the front window cut out and used my body reamer to put 4 big holes on the other side of the front window and 5-6 holes on each side of the body. Is anybody else experiencing this? I dont want to ruin this motor, any ideas on cooling the motor instead of making my body look like swiss cheese?

JAMMINKRAZY helped out on truggyracers forum but I'm asking for other peoples' help. Does anyone know if RCbodies.net is still around? I'd like to locate one of their shells to use on my T this year. I guess I'm hoping some shop has one or two lying around that never got purchased. I've tried to search the pictures here on RCTECH and truggyracers but I can't even find the pictures from a year ago that showed the RCbodies.net shell.

http://www.truggyracers.com/forum/in......post&id=560

HERE. I just found a pic of the body I'm talking about. It's hard to see with the yellow paint but looking at the front driver's side of the windshield/hood area. The check out behind the engine cooling head. This is exactly what I was trying to find if there are any available.

NEVERMIND. Can't get the links to work.

How about this one? Starting at post #39 towards the bottom of page two shows the front windshield is recessed to direct air towards the cooling hole. I know, it wasn't the front hood like I said earlier. But on the following pages you can see the rear scoop coming off the back of the cooling head. These are the shells I'd like to find.

I used to do wraps for that body. I was told Mark ( Owner of RC BODIES.NET) closed the doors.

Never had the 1.0 but will the 2.0 fit on there?

http://www.carolinasrc.com/Webstore/...dcategory=1696

It looks like if so that would help with your temp.
