It's no big deal, but overtime the motor won't last as long..... my 2 cents

550 DC cans are rated for 18V Not 12V.....3S lipo in a starter box imo is Not a wise idea.

Thats for a 2s lipo. A 4s lipo needs a 12.8 cut off. Its really easy to tell when its time to change the lipo all of a sudden it will barely crank the engine over. It goes from like 100mph down to 10 mph all at once. As long as you pull it out right when this happens its fine.

So a 4S 25C 3000mah should be fine then right? I see a lot of pics and suggestions about running lipos in series or parallel but I was just hoping to run one single lipo like what I mention, does it have enough juice to get me through a race day?

I use the ofna blue truggy box with STOCK wiring but use deans plugs, on my buggy box I use a common sense 3100 I paid 70.00 for, in my truggy box I bought the 2100 venom for 35.00 and works just as good...I can go 2 days on eighter box EASY usually only pumps about 700-1000 mah into each one...depending how much I run my car for practice on each day..

I bought some Zippy 4s and 5s 5000mah 25 and 30c lipos for my bl truggy and I use them in my offroad and onroad mugen boxes ...spins the livin' hooey out of those motors no problem...just make sure you keep the lipos topped off or you can run one down in a hurry on a stubborn motor and they will fall off into no man's land if you're not careful

i thought venom marketed a starter box specific pack that was an 8c discharge, but i cant find it anymore. thats where i was basing my minimum off of.

15c is alot better though. the battery i picked up off ebay was a 15c, and its working great

20C is MY personal Minimum...the More C the more Amperage the pack can push without stressing itself.

Dose anyone know where I can get one of these lipo regulators (12.8v) cut off.

I see a Amain has the protek ones for receiver packs (6v cut off)

I have even tried to point out that you don't need a 20+ c rated Lipo for your box.

The OFNA box is 2 775 motors and they are insane on my Common Sense 4s 6000mah, but it's only 8c you don't need a ton of amps hitting the motors.

Just broke in a new RB and Werk B5 on this battery and never got stuck at TDC on the motors.

Save your motors use a 3s and lower C rating.

you want a Maxpro 4S lipo monitor..Not a regulator.

Search ebay and you'll find them...there like 7-9$ and well worth it.

C rating is directly related to how much Amperage the pack can put out....IMO 20C is minimum to ensure your pack will live a full life.

Undercutting the motor's to a 3S is only beating up on the pack and the motor's and IMO isn't a wise idea.

Ok, cheers.
Will check them out.

What is a goo cheap reliable battery for the OFNA twin engine box.
I don't really want to go out and get something like the maxamps battery
Is there a good battery around the $40 range or still a bit cheap for 4s lipo ?
