That much drag break will heat a motor up. The factory setting on them is at the 10* mark. I would put it to that and run about a 3.88 FDR on that track. Cut the drag break in half and you will prob drop temps to about 145*ish. That's still pretty cold. They can take some heat. I think a few guys at IIC got them close to 200* and they were fine. Obviously not recommended to get them that high but you won't be worried about smoking a motor.

Has anyone tried using the Orca USB link with a 64 bit (Win 8.1) machine? I can't get the device to fire up, even after installing the latest UART drivers from Silabs. My other USB devices work perfectly.

It works fine on 32 bit Windows and even gets recognized by my Linux box.

Trying to find out if the 80c rating on the ORCA INFINITE LiPo 7000mAh 7.4V 80C RACE PACK is the 'continuous' rating, or the 'burst' rating? Cant find this info anywhere....

'C' ratings means pretty much nothing at all since there's no standard of measure. Don't even worry about it.

Orca has fantastic batteries, so go ahead and get one and feel assured that you have one of the best.

Is there a torque rotor option for the orca TX 17.5 motor? I see they have the OTR15MSH for mod motors. Anyone tried this in a 17.5?

this "stock" rotor is stonger than my ht rotor, it is all you will need, maybe too much i run the motor fairly good motor not the fastest still trying to get my car there though but its a good motor

I recently picked up a Orca 13.5 motor. Is there a good way of getting the bearing out if the sensor board? I would like to clean the heavy grease out of it.

Its continuous rating. The ORCA 2S packs are very good!

The stock rotor that comes with it is a 12.5 Medium strength rotor (but its stronger than other companies "12.5 HT" rotor. They do make one that is stronger but its so strong that it doesnt run very well in anything but possibly a SCT. Its about 100-150 points higher than the stock one.

You can look on the shaft of the rotor and its engraving gives its strength. 125S means 12.5 Spec. The MH is medium hard. The SH is super hard. They also have 123S which are 12.3 spec rotors. I have a few of them here that havent been put up on the site yet.

It usually just pushes out with light pressure. If you dont have a bearing remover you can just use a socket wrench that fits along the outside race and push it out. Same for going back in.

I'll have to try again. I'm just worried about breaking the sensor board as I have not been able to find anyone who carries spares. The way it's designed even if I had a bearing puller I would be pushing on circuit board material to get it out.

you did take the board off of the endbell correct? The bearing comes out the endbell side of the sensor board.

I ran ORCA TX 17.5 for two days and I am happy with it.
I have the timing at 1mm past the + sign and FDR at 3.72 and the motor is so cool after 6 mins that I can just hold the motor with no pain at all.
I probably could go up two teeth which will put the FDR at 3.58.
