FWIW, on the Ti turnbuckles, both TLR brand and Lunsford.

Broke 1
Bent 1 (that is the strange one to me)
And lost 2

That is why you can by them in pairs

I still like them over the steel, a little lighter and I think they are just as durable.

Are the turnbuckles that you're bending/breaking the 3 or 3.5mm models? It's hard for me to believe that a 3.5mm one could break without hitting something unbelievably hard.

If you do happen to bend or break a Lunsford Ti Turnbuckle they are covered for life and they will send you a new one. That's why I use them. Not that I've even needed to send anything in. Even though I crash a ton I think I'm too slow. I bent the hell out of a steel turnbuckle on my Caster...replaced it with Lunsford and been rolling happy ever since.

I think that it is a very subjective thing, especially since most of us haven't even seen a D413 in person or driven one yet! For me, the center gear diff, focus on ruggedness, and ease of adjustability sold me on the D413.

The Durango's I have driven all feel like they are too aggressive. It is like when 1/12th went to longitudinal batteries and it was like balancing the car on the tip of a pin. I am hoping that the D413 gains the nimbleness of shedding some weight with the shorty, but keeps the drivability high.

The one I bent was a TLR one for sure, but on the plus side I picked up like 2 extra sets of the buggy turnbuckles for about 1/3 the counter price in a clearance situation, so I have spares for those.

Also, I am sure it all 3.0mm that I have done in as bent and broken. I have lost a Lunsford, but I do not think I have damaged one as really think back on my casualties. And the one that snapped, my wife managed to do that....

If this car drives as easy as you can build it. It is just awesome. The fitting is perfect.
I have the feeling that my seven year old son can build this wheeler without any help.

My dad's an artist and he uses an air tank with a regulator when airbrushing. It's really quiet and pretty cheap compared to buying a good compressor. You can buy/rent tanks at industrial supply houses and get them filled there or at a paintball shop. Refills are like $7 - $12 and last a long time.

Scuba tanks last a long time if you fill them with nitrogen.

I personally am very disappointed with my dex410v3. Found the build terrible and it came with a very poor plastic front hingpin carrier that broke almost instantly, I also found the drive system to have alot of slop and heated up to easy. Now just waiting on money to get this baby!
